You can easily resume automation or check contact details.
After the automation is paused, you can easily chat with the customers across all the 12+ social channels, you can send images, files, and subflow directly in Slack, and also you can resume automation and check the lead's details and contact information.
Connect Slack to your workspace
You need to log in to your UChat dashboard and then go to integration, then find the Slack agent, and click “Connect Slack account”
After you clicked the “Connect Slack account”, you will be redirected to the authorization window like below:
And you need to click “allow”, and then you should be redirected back to UChat, with your Slack workspace connected.
How to use Activate Slack as a live chat
In order to use Slack to handle the live chat, you need to go to the channels then go to the settings, and then go to “Live Chat”,
You need to select “Slack” as the live chat integration as per the screenshot below:
How to use Slack as a live chat
In any of the channels, if you use the “Pause automation/Talk to human”, any message after that will forward to Slack.
Check the sample flow you can build and test with.
You will receive the live chat in the new channel created as per the screenshot below:
So you can reply with audio, image, files, and emoji to the customers.
You can also invite your team members into the channel.
And in the group chat, you can discuss with your team member, and you can use @teammember
to discuss, and the discussion between the team members won’t be sent back to the user.
Like the message below, it won't be sent to the customers.
Using Slash Commands
If you type /bot in the chat, it will trigger the slash commands to help you with more actions. Currently, we support the below 4 actions:
Resume_bot: if you use this action, the user will back to the automation
Pause_bot: if you use this action, the user will pause the automation
Bot_send_subflow: You can send a subflow to the user, and after the user received the flow, the user will back to automation
Bot_user_info: this will get the bot user information for your reference.

Using Slack as unified live chat inbox
We are going to show you how the UChat app inside of slack works and how you can use it to basically get a unified live chat inbox directly inside of your Slack Channel.
This is of course perfect when you don’t want your clients to have access towards the chatbots but also to consolidate all kinds of channels directly inside of one platform in this case we are using Slack.
First we need to make sure that under the Chatbot settings we have Slack selected as the live chat app.
Integration with Slack Live Agent inside Uchat
Let’s see how to do it?
Flowbuilder Menu > Settings > Live Chat > Live Chat Integration > Select Slack > Save
Once you press save, ensure you will see a notification on top right as “Success - updated Successfully”
Install the Uchat Agent App inside the Slack
Goto Slack Workspace > Add Apps > Type UChat > Select “UChat Agent Bot”
Once you click on UChat Agent Bot, now this app is available.
The commands that are available are inside the Slack Live Chat
/bot_send_subflow -> you can send sub-flows to your users
/bot_user_info -> get user’s contact info
/pause_bot -> Pause the bot communication
/resume_bot -> Resume the bot
Let’s see how these commands works. Now you basically set Slack as your Live Chat inside of the Omnichannel. (in my case). All the supported channels inside the Omnichannel are now going to be consolidated into Slack.
Webchat Widget
If we go towards our webchat widget, and just start interacting inside the web chat widget, and say, Let’s connect, you can see there is a Button to talk to Human, once clicked on this button, it notifies on Slack and Live chat support is activated.
Inside the Slack Live Chat.
Communication visibility in Webchat and Slack Live Chat
If we start typing inside the Slack Live Chat, it will also reflect in the webchat and vice versa.
The following commands that are available can be tried from the Slack Live Chat:
/bot_send_subflow -> you can send sub-flows to your users
/bot_user_info -> get user’s contact info
/pause_bot -> Pause the bot communication
/resume_bot -> Resume the bot
Using the Commands inside the Slack Live Chat
Let’s try one of the command, let’s say use this command inside the Slack Live Chat /bot_user_info
In the similar way, you can use the other commands also.
The App Installed Member is the Live Chat Agent:
Only the Member who installed the Live Chat Agent app is able to see the new Conversations in side the Slack Live Chat.
You can invite the other Slack members into this Conversation.
